Title: Project Oracle social science research placements.
Deadline: Research Fair happening on 18th February 2015.
For: For social science (or related discipline) PhD students seeking part time research placements within youth charities. Starts in March and June 2015. Work is voluntary as all participating organisations are registered charities.
Aim: To give social science PhD Students experience within organisations outside of academia.

Interview: Samuel Brod, Immunology Scientist and Journalist

Samuel-Brod-150x150Recently Samuel Brod, a PhD student at the William Harvey Research Institute at Queen Mary, won the London Naturejobs Career Expo Competition. An enthusiastic Science Communicator, Samuel began his education at the University of Warwick studying molecular biology before switching to microbiology and then settling on immunology, the focus of his current research. After studying for an MA in Science Communications he moved to Queen Mary to begin his PhD.

Samuel talks to us about his current research at the William Harvey Research Institute and his experiences as a journalist for Naturejobs.
